Battersea Welcomes Refugees currently support four Syrian families who live in our community (aka the Battersea Deanery) in properties that we have been very fortunate to acquire.

Operating under the official Home Office Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme and working in partnership with Family First (of Wandsworth Council), as those who live and work in the local area, we are providing supplementary support in addition to the statutory services they receive: helping with English conversation, doing the shopping, enabling retraining for employment, translating at dental appointments and celebrating seasonal events together. It’s really about being a familiar, friendly face in a strange and foreign land.

If you would like to know more or if you know of a property (a two bedroom flat or larger) that could be used to welcome another Syrian family, get in touch via the Contact page.
