National Day of Reflection, 11am-2pm

Take a minute’s silence at 12 noon to show your support for the millions of people who are bereaved and tale a moment to connect with someone.

Organised by Marie Curie to coincide with the first anniversary of lockdown, the National Day of Reflection is designed to help us reflect on our collective loss, support those who've been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.

St Barnabas will be open between 11.00 and 14.00 for any who want to come in for quiet prayer and an opportunity to light a candle too. There will be some short, led prayers of about 10 minutes at 11.45 which will led us in to the planned minute of silence at 12.00. As well as ringing the bell, there will also be a chance to tie a yellow ribbon on the church railings on the corner of Northside and Lavender Gardens and we hope that this will encourage many who pass by but may not enter church to participate in the day of reflection too.
